John McAdams Joins Triangle Tomorrow Board of Directors
RTP, Charlotte and Wilmington, N.C. –August 25, 2008 –John McAdams, founder and president of The John R. McAdams Company, was recently named to the board of directors of Triangle Tomorrow.
Triangle Tomorrow is a program of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership. The organization works closely with business and community leaders to improve the quality of life and economic competitiveness of the 13-county Research Triangle Region.
“Triangle Tomorrow believes our region can be world class if we come together with a shared vision,” said McAdams. “That vision includes developing programs and initiatives that focus on air quality, education, transportation and land use. As a resident and business owner in RTP, these issues are important to my business, our employees and clients, and my family.”
McAdams created The John R. McAdams Company in 1979 and built the company into a successful land development design and consulting firm with three North Carolina locations. The firm has had a hand in the success of some of the largest developments in the state including The Streets of Southpoint Mall, North Hills Mall redevelopment, North Hills East, Brier Creek Country Club, Landfall in Wilmington, The Club at Longview in Charlotte, Meadowmont in Chapel Hill and Renaissance Village in Durham.
