Sam Drew Earns LEED Professional Accreditation
RTP, N.C. – February 12, 2009 –The John R. McAdams Company’s Sam Drew recently became a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by passing the Green Building Certification Institute’s LEED Professional Accreditation exam.
Drew serves as a project manager in the Construction Services Department of The John R. McAdams Company’s RTP office. He is responsible for the GPS control networks, mission planning and network adjustments, integrating GIS with survey data and the development of 3D data modeling and machine control.
“Having LEED accredited professionals on staff helps our clients earn more points towards their projects’ LEED certifications,” said Greg Sallee, director of McAdams’ construction services department. “Sam has worked hard to earn his LEED AP credentials and we look forward to applying that knowledge to our current and upcoming projects.”
LEED AP candidates must have building industry knowledge as well as experience working with green building professionals from multiple disciplines. The LEED AP credential signifies an extraordinary depth of knowledge in green building practices and specialization in a particular field: commercial design and construction, commercial operations and maintenance, commercial interiors, residential design and construction, and neighborhood development.
