The John R. McAdams Company Opens Wilmington Regional Office
RTP, N.C. –March 31, 2008 –The McAdams Company today announced the opening of its newest regional office in Wilmington, N.C.
The new office is located at 3904 Oleander Drive in Suite 200. The office resides on the second floor of the SunTrust Bank building.
Andy Heath serves as the Wilmington regional manager. With close to 25 years of experience in surveying, civil design, transportation and construction, Heath brings a multi-faceted approach to projects. In addition to being a professional land surveyor, Heath is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional.
No stranger to the coastal region, the McAdams Company previously had a presence in Wilmington in the ‘80s. The McAdams Company provided the land planning and site engineering for Landfall, J.P. Goforth’s award-winning private residential golf course development that covers over 2,200 acres. This project spanned 10 years.

The coastal region of North Carolina is growing and the development industry is facing some potential changes in stormwater regulations that could go into effect as early as late summer. The stormwater regulation changes will require stormwater management practices on more project sites than before and on those sites, the stormwater plans will be required to treat more water runoff than before. These regulation changes have the potential to have multiple effects on projects of all sizes.
