The McAdams Company’s Mike Munn Honored by Triangle Community Coalition

RTP, N.C.-January 31, 2008-The Triangle Community Coalition (TCC) recently honored The John R. McAdams Company’s Director of Business Development, Mike Munn, with the distinguished James R. Wahlbrink Grassroots Leadership Award. Munn received the award for his vigorous advocacy of the land development industry and the streamlining of development entitlement processes.

“No one has worked harder than Mike over the past year to advance balanced growth solutions throughout the region and the TCC’s mission. We could not think of a better leader than Mike to give this prestigious award,” said Chris Sinclair, TCC’s Managing Director.

The James R. Wahlbrink Grassroots Leadership Award is named in honor of Jim Wahlbrink, a long-time executive with the HBA of Raleigh Wake County and one of the founders of the TCC. Wahlbrink worked tirelessly to advance growth policies that are fair, reasonable and work to help build the community in a balanced way. Each year the award is given to the TCC leader who works to advance the cause of the TCC mission and advocate for its issues in a way reminiscent of the work done by Wahlbrink.

The TCC’s mission is to promote public policy that encourages a balance among economic growth, development, the environment, and the community needs while protecting the rights and interests of property owners.

“I feel honored to be in the company of the previous recipients of the award,” said Munn. “I truly believe in what TCC is advocating and I’m excited about the work we can accomplish in 2008 to further their mission.”

Munn was also recently named the 2008 Chairman of the Board for TCC.
