RTP, N.C.-February 19, 2008-The John R. McAdams Company announced today that two of its employees, Beth Ihnatolya and Ryan Akers have earned their Professional Engineer license.
In order to obtain a Professional Engineer license, a person must submit an application to the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors that documents and demonstrates the required education and experience. Additionally, a person must complete 16 hours of examinations from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. The exams include the Fundamentals of Engineering and the Principles and Practice in Engineering.
The Fundamentals of Engineering written exam tests applicants on their knowledge of basic engineering principles. The Principles and Practice in Engineering exam tests the applicant’s knowledge of engineering ethics as well as skills in a chosen engineering discipline such as civil engineering.
“Beth and Ryan have worked hard to get their license,” said John McAdams, president and founder of The John R. McAdams Company. “We support our employees growth and pride ourselves in being a firm where our employees can build their careers.”
