  Environmental review board may be required in Chatham County.

• 04/26/08- Wetland Impact Fees May Increase by 36%

  The Environmental Management Commission has approved an increase in EEP fees from $245/unit to $332/unit.

  In March, the Town of Cary announced two new conservation programs in an effort to save more water.

• 03/31/08- The John R. McAdams Company Introduces EcoEngineering

  The new division launches on April 2, the 29th anniversary of the founding of the McAdams Company. EcoEngineering will focus on environmental and stormwater services. The EcoEngineering staff includes regional stormwater management experts, professional wetland scientists and registered environmental managers.

  Andy Heath serves as the manager of the newest regional office in Wilmington, N.C. The McAdams Company has previous experience in Wilmington and is excited to be back in the coastal region of North Carolina.

• 03/06/08- Two John R. McAdams Company Employees Earn Professional Land Surveyor Licenses

  The John R. McAdams Company announced today that two of its employees, Ron Frederick and Adam Foster have earned their Professional Land Surveyor license.

• 02/29/08- Brandon Plunkett To Lead Civil Engineering Group at The John R. McAdams Charlotte Regional Office

  The John R. McAdams Company, a land development design consulting firm with offices in RTP and Charlotte, recently promoted Brandon Plunkett to lead the civil engineering group at its Charlotte regional office. Plunkett previously worked in the McAdams Company’s RTP location as a Senior Project Manager in the Civil Commercial Department.

• 02/29/08- Design and Performance of Multipurpose Constructed Wetland and Flow Equalization Basin

  Storm water runoff from a portion of a 273 ha (675 acres ) Midwestern rail yard contacts industrial facilities including fuel
  storage tanks and fueling and servicing operation areas. Stormwater draining from a smaller 64 ha (159acres) sub-basin containing the industrial facilities previously flowed into a retention pond within the rail yard.

  The John R. McAdams Company announced today that Jim Halley, its senior project manager in the stormwater and environmental division, co-authored an article running in the current issue of Journal of Environmental Engineering.

  The Triangle and Charlotte chapters of the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP) have named two directors from The John R. McAdams Company to their respective board of directors.

• 02/04/08- John R. McAdams Named to Top Triangle Impact Business Leaders List

  Business Leader magazine recently named John R. McAdams, founder and president of The John R. McAdams Company, as one of its 2007-2008 Triangle Impact Business Leaders.

• 01/31/08- The McAdams Company’s Mike Munn Honored by Triangle Community Coalition

  The Triangle Community Coalition (TCC) recently honored The John R. McAdams Company’s Director of Business Development, Mike Munn, with the distinguished James R. Wahlbrink Grassroots Leadership Award.

  The overwhelming majority of property owners in the affected area, which is primarily already developed with popular neighborhoods like Wakefield, Falls River, Bedford at Falls River and other communities, have been unaware of the issues until they were notified that the City intends to rezone their properties.

  City Manager J. Russell Allen has the City Council’s permission to implement Stage 2 Mandatory Conservation Measures should Falls Lake shrink to a 90-day supply. As of December 31, 2007 the water supply pool currently in storage at Falls Lake is at 112 days.
