Eagle Ridge is an 800+ home community spreading over more than 500 acres in Southern Wake County. The development is built around a championship Kite/Cupp designed golf course. In addition, Eagle Ridge has 142 acres of lakes and natural wooded preserves, making it one of the finest subdivisions in Raleigh.
Wakefield Development Company, the largest residential developer in the Triangle, retained McAdams Company to work with them on the development of Eagle Ridge. Wakefield’s focus is on developing appealing and innovative communities while emphasizing the natural characteristics of the land. McAdams’ stormwater experts were especially instrumental in the stormwater management aspects of the site, located in Garner’s Swift Creek water supply watershed protection area. The stormwater team was able to meet all water quality requirements for the Town of Garner. The golf course required design for a 42-foot high dam under the jurisdiction of the Dam Safety Law of 1967. The project also required stream restoration and wetland creation for mitigation of permitted wetlands impacts.
