On Target with Jefferson Village
Jefferson Village, located on 80 acres in Greensboro, North Carolina’s most prestigious master planned campus, offers a Target anchored lifestyle center including over 361,000 SF of retail and restaurant mix.
Zimmer Development retained McAdams Company to provide land planning, civil engineering, traffic signal design, and stormwater management on this very challenging site. The fast track project, driven by Target development schedules, presented numerous hurdles for Zimmer and the McAdams’ design team. Existing ponds required expansion and were reconstructed, resulting in the need for re-approval through North Carolina Dam Safety, the City of Greensboro and DWQ – all achieved by McAdams. McAdams experts were also successful in getting the project “grandfathered”, eliminating City of Greensboro and DWQ buffer requirements, ultimately creating more land to build on for Zimmer. McAdams Company obtained an early grading permit and provided a phased grading and development plan to keep the project on schedule.
