Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center at Meadowmont - Educational and Institutional - Chapel Hill, North Carolina

The Paul J. Rizzo Conference Center, designed expressly for executive development, is a wooded retreat located on 28 acres near the center of campus. The Center is named for Paul J. Rizzo, retired vice-chairman of IBM and former dean of the School. The Center is set up to provide a state-of-the-art learning center, dining and social gathering space, recreational facilities and executive lodging.

One of the unique features is the DuBose House, a 15,800 square-foot, three story Georgian Revival home built in 1933 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It provided comfortable surroundings for executives to meet and network.

The John R. McAdams Company is proud to have provided assistance on this important project for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. From assisting the architect with the concept plan to coordinating the submittal for the Special Use Permit through the approval process. The Firm also prepared design development drawings, final construction plans and guided the project through obtaining approvals on permitting.
