Southside Square in Kernersville, North Carolina, now includes a new Target, thanks to its redevelopment by Langley Properties. The 190,000 SF retail center has life again and pre-Target tenants happily endured the demolition and construction.
Langley Properties, referred by Target Corporation, gave the McAdams Company very high marks in their most recent Customer Satisfaction Survey. Langley selected the McAdams team to provide a full array of consulting services including guidance through the meticulous Target development process as well as the Town’s rezoning and approval procedures.
McAdams Company’s extensive experience with Target allowed for a smooth project flow, although some challenges were present. McAdams’ professionals were able to fit Target’s new architectural design on a very tight site and created a phased demolition schedule to allow existing tenants to maintain uninterrupted customer access. McAdams also provided a paved site for Target construction in order to minimize potential weather delays. The innovative site design included a new water quality system, having a positive impact on the community. Ultimately, the project was completed on time and on budget.
Today, Southside Square is a thriving shopping center that represents an economic boost to the Kernersville community.
